We don’t sell floors.
We translate a 1,300-year-old vine into surfaces you can walk on, lean against, and live with.
hi9 creates culturally inspired surface design systems for Middle Eastern villas, hotels, Majlis interiors and bespoke projects — connecting Eastern vine heritage with Arabesque visual culture through wood, brass, wallcovering, tile, textile and custom panels.
From heritage pattern to contemporary Middle Eastern interiors —
design-led, material-ready, production-connected.
A surface design studio for cultural interiors.
hi9 works at the intersection of pattern research, visual communication and material production. We transform traditional vine motifs into contemporary surfaces for villas, hotels, Majlis rooms, lounges, corridors and bespoke interior projects across the Middle East.
Pattern Research
We study the structure of traditional vine patterns — curve, leaf, flower node, repeat — and their resonance with Arabesque ornament.
Surface Design
We translate the vine into buildable surface systems — floor, wall, metal, tile, textile, panel — as a complete interior language.
Material Matching
We match each pattern to the right material, color, texture and scale — walnut, brass, emerald wallcovering, ceramic, wool, jacquard.
Supply Chain Support
Backed by a real flooring and decorative material supply chain — from sample development to project-scale production coordination.
Designed for spaces where atmosphere matters.
hi9 works with private villa owners, interior designers, hospitality projects and regional partners — anyone who wants a culturally rooted surface, not a generic catalogue product.
Private Villas
For entrance halls, Majlis rooms, bedrooms and dining rooms that require an exclusive visual identity and cultural depth.
Hotels & Resorts
For lobbies, VIP lounges, presidential suites and corridors that need memorable decorative surfaces and consistent material systems.
Interior Designers
For studios that need cultural pattern systems, moodboards, material suggestions and project-ready surface concepts.
Regional Partners
For building material partners who want design-led collections instead of ordinary product catalogues in the Middle East.
The vine as a cultural bridge.
The scrolling vine has appeared across cultures as a symbol of growth, continuity and refined ornament. hi9 studies the structure of traditional Chinese chan-zhi vine patterns and translates their rhythm into contemporary Middle Eastern surface design — finding the shared anchor of infinity where Eastern heritage meets Arabesque visual culture.
Continuous Rhythm
The S-curve vine runs without start or end — the same logic Islamic geometric ornament uses to express the infinite. We let the vine flow seamlessly across joints, panels and walls.
Leaf & Flower Nodes
Peony buds and curling leaves are simplified into a minimum repeatable unit, then embedded inside an Arabic eight-point star grid for symmetric order the Gulf audience loves.
Border & Field
One vine system, three layouts: border strip, central medallion, full-field surface. The pattern adapts to floor, wall, metal screen and tile without losing identity.
Arabesque Resonance
Chinese “endless growth, generation after generation” meets Islamic “the infinite reflecting the infinite.” Both cultures already share the anchor of infinity — we build on it.
Contemporary Luxury
Not复古复刻. We translate the vine through dark walnut, antique brass, deep emerald, ivory stone — a contemporary Middle Eastern luxury palette, restrained and refined.
Material Translation
A pattern on screen is not a product. We force the vine through the physics of real materials — wood hardness, brass tolerance, paper embossing depth — DFM, not decoration.
From motif to material.
Moving a motif across cultures is not copy-paste. We decode the vine at three layers — form, meaning, material — so it survives the journey with its identity intact and the new home happy to host it.
Geometry as bone, tendril as flesh几何为骨,缠枝为肉
We deconstruct the continuous S-curve vine into a minimum repeatable unit — one peony bud, two curling leaves — then embed it inside an Arabic eight-point star grid. The star gives symmetric order; the vine keeps the flowing life.
The anchor of infinity无限延展的共鸣锚
The Chinese chan-zhi means “endless growth, generation after generation.” Islamic geometric ornament means “the infinite, reflecting the infinite.” We bridge the two at the single point they already share — infinity.
Wood, metal, paper, textile多载体的物理落地
A pattern on screen is not a product. We force the vine through the physics of real materials — wood hardness, brass tolerance, paper embossing depth — and reverse-engineer the design against a live production line.

One vine, eight surfaces.
Each work begins with pattern research and ends with a material-ready solution for real interior spaces. Click any case to see the full design process — brief, pattern source, translation, material strategy, scene renderings and production notes.
Material decides the final atmosphere.
The same pattern feels different in walnut, brass, wallcovering, stone or textile. hi9 helps clients select the right material, color, texture and scale for each space — a pattern is never finished until it meets the right material.
From design idea to buildable surface.
hi9 connects visual concept with real material development. We help clients move from pattern idea to sample, from sample to project, and from project to scalable production.
Cultural Pattern Research
Study chan-zhi vine, Arabesque geometry and the shared anchor of infinity.
Motif Extraction
Deconstruct vine curve, leaf rhythm, flower node into repeatable units.
Line Drawing
Hand-draw and digitize the vine into a clean, scalable linework system.
Repeat System
Build border, central medallion and full-field layouts from one motif.
Color & Material Direction
Match palette and material to space — walnut, brass, emerald, ivory, stone.
Rendering & Space Simulation
Drop the pattern into Majlis, lobby, corridor, suite — see it in real space.
Sample Development
Produce physical samples — parquet, wallcovering, brass, tile, textile.
Production Coordination
Coordinate flooring, wallcovering, metal, tile and textile supply chains.
Delivery Support
Palletize, seal, load and ship for the Gulf route — project-ready.
Design with a production path.
A beautiful concept is not enough. hi9 combines design thinking with material supply chain coordination, helping clients turn visual ideas into surfaces that can be sampled, produced and delivered.
Design-led Concept
From traditional vine pattern to modern interior surface system — design drives the project, not the catalogue.
Multi-material Solution
One vine, six+ carriers: wood, brass, wallcovering, tile, textile, panel — coordinated as a complete surface language.
Sample & Material Kit
Physical samples, color boards, scale tests and material kits — see and touch the design before commitment.
Production-connected
Backed by a real flooring and decorative material supply chain — from sample to project-scale delivery.
